Meet Taylor Lee
I was born and raised in northwest San Antonio TX. I fed off my father’s incredible work ethic and helped his lawn care company during summers. From an early age I appreciated the freedom owning a small business afforded my dad. Once I was in high-school I took a summer and weekend job wheelbarrowing concrete with a local company. I learned this trade from the ground up. From laboring for $7.25 an hour, to forming slabs, to finisher, to running jobs on Lackland AFB. In a trade full of hard workers, I outworked everyone. I had some good and some bad teachers along the way. I always viewed this as a career and wanted to understand the details and reasoning behind everything. Once I felt confident in my skills I applied for a DBA and paid for the most basic of insurance packages. My advertising was done door to door with flyers and eventually the phone was ringing. I believe that you must evolve with the times, so I dove into every new product and application the market had to offer. Business grew slowly but surely into what is now a family run business. With me at the helm and my brother as my right-hand man we have had great success and even better feedback from our clients. We now carry a commercial grade insurance policy, have a fleet of machines, and continue to strive for perfection on every job.

Here at TLC Coatings LLC we live by this creed, No short-cuts, no excuses, and no exceptions. My brother and I run and operate every aspect of this company. We have been able to grow our business and cliental while maintaining our quality with the help of reliable team members, important machinery, and an unmatched work ethic. Our goal is to provide the South Texas region with a reputable and reliable, decorative concrete company. There is a growing number of companies who are in this to get rich quick and then disappear or who simply do not have a background in this industry. We have been in business for over 10 years and our entire future is centered around the success of our company. Our daughters, wives, and livelihoods depend on it. I often say I am a master of only one trade. This is all we have ever done and all I know how to do at a professional level. We are here for the long haul and would love the opportunity to take part in your project.
OUR VALUES
We have a family-based hierarchy here at TLC Coatings LLC. I started this company over 10 years ago on my own to provide superior service to the south Texas region. After spending 4 years as a foreman for one of the largest decorative concrete companies in south Texas, I had seen enough. I knew things could be done better and was tired of seeing the short-cuts taken at every turn. Our business grew quickly based on word-of-mouth advertisement. I take great pride in my ability to communicate with clients and they took notice.
Along with an always open line of communication I made it my creed to do things exactly as they should be done. No short-cuts, no excuses, and no exceptions. This may not be the most profitable way to run a business, but my work quickly spoke for itself and we grew into the commercial sector quickly. The cliental we work with have no doubt when we are on-site the work will be done as expected, on-time, and in a professional manner. My small business was booming, and I had the pleasure of hiring the one man cut from the same cloth as I. My brother Troy. While we are brothers, we both bring a different set of skills and temperaments to the table. Once on board he quickly adopted the same creed as I. I have only done one thing my entire life and that is decorate concrete. I am a master of this one trade and now Troy is as well. When working with us you will receive open communication, transparency, and true experts in the field. This work ethic and ability to communicate can be credited to our Father who is the hardest working man I have ever seen. This role model instilled into us a work ethic not often matched. We will work unusual hours to accommodate our clients, we are not afraid of a little Texas heat, and we have little down time while on-site. We come to work to provide our clients an unmatched product and experience. We have been in business over 10 years and have every intention of continuing for the next 30-40 years.
